Youth Town Hall Terms of Use

These Terms govern youthtownhall.org and Youth Town Hall pages (the “Service”), operated by End Point Corporation (“End Point,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You must accept these Terms before submitting a question.

If you use campaign curation tools, the Campaign Agreement also applies. It controls the campaign’s purchase and operation of its Hall.

1. Who may submit questions

Anyone may read a public Hall. You may submit a question only if you are between 18 and 35 years old, live in the United States and in the district served by the Hall, can legally agree to these Terms, and provide truthful information.

The Service checks whether the information you provide is consistent with the district. It does not verify your identity, residence, age, voter registration, or eligibility to vote.

2. Privacy and content rules

The Privacy Policy explains how End Point handles information. The Content Policy explains what may be submitted or published, how campaigns curate questions, and how reports and removal requests work. You agree to follow the Content Policy.

3. Questions and answers

The campaign decides which questions the candidate will answer, if any. The candidate controls each answer. Neither the campaign nor End Point may edit, trim, or rewrite a participant-submitted question; it is used as submitted or not used.

Questions received by a campaign elsewhere may appear in a separate, clearly labeled section. Candidate answers and other campaign material are the campaign’s speech, not End Point’s. We do not endorse any candidate.

Submitting a question does not promise that it will be selected, published, or answered.

4. Your question

You keep ownership of your question.

When you submit it, you give End Point a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, host, format, publish, display, distribute, archive, quote, and otherwise use the question as reasonably needed to operate the Service and the relevant Hall. This includes letting the campaign and candidate review and respond to it.

You also allow End Point to give the relevant campaign a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, quote, excerpt, adapt, publish, distribute, display, respond to, and otherwise use the question text for lawful campaign purposes, in any medium, during or after the Hall.

The campaign’s license covers question text only. It does not allow the campaign to use or disclose your name with the question outside the Hall, and it gives the campaign no right to your email address or other contact information.

You promise that you wrote the question or have the rights needed to submit it, and that submitting it does not violate another person’s rights or the law. The license in the question text continues after anonymization, removal, or the end of these Terms to the extent the law allows.

5. Your name and removal choices

You may submit with the limited display name offered by the Service or as Anonymous. If a question is published, its permitted name and locality become public and may be copied or indexed by others.

You may permanently change your attribution to Anonymous at any time. The question and any answer ordinarily remain. You may also request removal under the Content Policy. Removing information from End Point’s systems does not erase copies already made by others.

6. Use the Service fairly

Do not use the Service to break the law or the Content Policy; submit questions through bots or scripts; interfere with the Service or its security; introduce harmful code; scrape or harvest participant information; identify, re-identify, locate, profile, or contact participants; build voter, donor, fundraising, or outreach lists; or misuse another person’s identity, credentials, or private access link.

End Point may change the Service and may reject or remove content, restrict access, or suspend use when reasonably needed to apply these Terms or the Content Policy, protect people or the Service, address a technical or security problem, or comply with law.

End Point and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding. These Terms do not give you any ownership interest in the Service. Participant questions, campaign material, and other third-party material remain the property of their owners.

To the fullest extent the law permits, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” End Point does not promise that it will always be available, secure, or error-free, or that candidate statements or other third-party material will be accurate or complete. The Service is not legal, election, voting, tax, or other professional advice.

To the fullest extent the law permits, End Point and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunity. End Point’s total liability arising from the Service or these Terms will not exceed $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

8. Changes, law, and contact

End Point may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. A change will not retroactively expand the license to an earlier question or the use of information already collected without any consent required by law. Updated Terms apply to later use and later submissions.

New York law governs these Terms. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes must be brought in a state court in Rockland County, New York, or the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Content Policy are the entire agreement between you and End Point about public and participant use of the Service. If one part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
