Youth Town Hall Privacy Policy

Effective date: 16 September 2026

1. Privacy at Youth Town Hall

End Point Corporation operates Youth Town Hall. This policy explains how we handle data on youthtownhall.org and on Youth Town Hall pages.

Youth Town Hall lets adults ages 18 through 35 submit questions for a candidate to consider. The campaign chooses which questions the candidate answers. Selected questions and recorded answers become public.

We designed the service to collect little data about participants. A campaign does not receive a participant's email address, phone number, ZIP code, or other contact details. We do not sell personal data or use it for target ads. We do not use data brokers, social-media pixels, or outside tracking tools.

2. Information We Collect

When you submit a question

We collect the following information:

  • Email address. We use a working email address to send a verification code, let you manage your questions, and tell you when a question is published with an answer.
  • Age statement. You must affirm that you are between 18 and 35. We record that you made this statement and when you made it. We do not ask for your birth date or calculate your age.
  • Content Policy agreement. We record that you agreed to the Content Policy and when you agreed.
  • Display choice. You can provide a first name and last initial, or you can choose Anonymous. If you choose Anonymous, we do not collect a name. We do not ask for or store your full last name.
  • City and ZIP code. We use your ZIP code to check whether it is consistent with the Hall's district. We use the city as the place associated with your question.
  • Question text. We collect the words that you submit. Before publication, the question is available only to you, authorized campaign curators, and Youth Town Hall operators. A published question becomes public.
  • Optional announcement choice. You can choose to receive one email when the Hall has aired. This choice is off by default.

Email is the normal verification step. It confirms control of a working email address. A Hall can also enable SMS as an extra step. This option is off by default. When it is on, our text-message provider receives the phone number to send and check a one-time code. Youth Town Hall records that the check passed, but does not store the phone number.

When you use the site

We keep limited technical data to run and protect the service. When you use a form or sign in, this can include a network address, request path, status, and time. For public page views, we use a shortened network prefix, page, status, and time to make total counts. We do not use this data to create a profile or follow you across websites.

If you contact us about bringing Youth Town Hall to a campaign, we use the contact and campaign information you provide only to respond to your inquiry.

Youth Town Hall is for adults. People under 18 must not submit questions. If we learn that a person under 18 submitted a question, we will remove it and delete the related participant information.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to verify email addresses, required statements, and district eligibility; manage and publish questions and answers; communicate with participants; provide privacy controls; measure overall use; protect the service; and comply with law.

Question text can reveal political views. We treat unpublished questions as sensitive and do not use them for advertising, participant profiles, or campaign contact lists.

4. What Campaigns and the Public Can See

Campaign staff can see the question, chosen name or Anonymous label, city and district, submission time, and review status. They do not receive email addresses, phone numbers, ZIP codes, network addresses, or other contact details. Campaign curators choose which questions are answered but cannot edit them.

When published, the public can see the question, chosen name or Anonymous label, locality, video answer, captions, and transcript. Public pages may appear in search results or be copied. Unselected questions are not public and remain available only to the submitter, authorized campaign curators, and Youth Town Hall until deleted under Section 7.

5. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Some companies help us host, operate, secure, and communicate through Youth Town Hall. These include providers of cloud hosting and backup, email and text-message delivery, video hosting and streaming, and security. They receive limited data needed to provide those services.

The district check runs on our systems with a local data file. We do not send the submitted city or ZIP code to a live location service.

We can also share data when the law requires it, or when needed to protect a person, the service, or our legal rights. We do not give participant data to advertisers, data brokers, voter-file providers, political parties, fundraisers, or unrelated campaigns.

6. Cookies

Youth Town Hall does not set a cookie when you only read a public page. We use first-party cookies that are needed when you enter a protected preview, start a check, submit or manage a question, or sign in as staff. These cookies keep your session working and help protect it.

We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking across websites. You can delete our cookies in your browser, but doing so can end your session or require you to verify again.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We do not keep ZIP codes or participant phone numbers. Verification sessions and codes expire within 24 hours, raw analytics after 7 days, and security logs after 30 days. We may keep anonymous aggregate totals.

We delete participant email addresses and other verification data 60 days after a Hall becomes evergreen, or sooner on request. Never-selected and declined questions are deleted the day after the election or 60 days after evergreen, whichever comes first. Other non-public questions are deleted 60 days after evergreen.

Published questions, display names or Anonymous labels, localities, videos, captions, and transcripts remain part of the public Hall unless removed under the Content Policy. Raw video source files are deleted after 30 days. Reporter contact information and case notes are removed 60 days after a final decision. Backups expire within 30 days, so deleted information may remain until then.

8. Your Choices

You can submit a question as Anonymous or later remove your name. The change is immediate and permanent, but it does not remove the question or answer. While we have your email address, you can use it to manage associated questions.

You can ask us to delete your participant data. This ends future messages and makes associated questions Anonymous, but does not delete the question text. If its words identify you, you can also ask us to remove the full question under the Content Policy.

Each email that tells you a question is published includes a link for that question. With it you can remove your name from the question or ask us to remove the question. The link keeps working after we delete your email address. If you no longer have the link, you can report the question through the concern form, and we decide the request under the Content Policy.

You can ask to see, correct, receive, or delete information connected to you, subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request. We will not treat you unfairly for using applicable privacy rights. Email privacy@youthtownhall.org. We may ask only for information reasonably needed to confirm the request concerns you.

9. Security

We use staff rules, technical controls, and physical controls to protect data. These include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, staff multi-factor sign-in, system checks, and tested deletion steps. Access to private questions and participant data is limited by role.

No system is completely secure. If an incident affects personal information, we will respond and give notice as required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We can update this policy when the service or law changes. We will post the new version and update the effective date. If a change would greatly expand how we use data already collected, we will give more notice or seek agreement when required.
